And if you have been trying to start your own business but it hasn’t been going well, look through the list to see what your lacking.

OK, here we go– these are the ten most common traits that successful entrepreneurs have in common:

1. Discipline
Entrepreneurs are focused on making their businesses work. They eliminate things in their lives that are a distraction to getting to their goals. They are planners. They create strategies and implement tactics to progress their business. Successful entrepreneurs are disciplined enough to take steps every day toward the achievement of their goals.

Entrepreneur does not ask questions about whether they can succeed or whether they are worthy of success. They are confident with the knowledge that they will make their businesses succeed. They exude that confidence in everything they do.

I Don’t Know…CAN You Do This?

I get this question all the time… Dave, can I do this? And my response is always the same, “Do you think you can?” But in reality, there is more to it and that’s what we are going to be talking about today… Can you do this?

First, let’s talk about what “This” is. “This” is anything you are not sure you can do. It doesn’t matter what “this” is because the answer to “can I do this” is going to be the same.

1)   Believe: The first thing you have to do is believe that you can do it. If you don’t believe you can do it, your mind won’t allow you to do it. Take a moment, put all fears aside and envision in your mind what your world will look like when you do your “this.”

See yourself doing it, see yourself doing it successfully, and finally know you can do it.

If you’ve ever read, Think And Grow Rich, one of the great success books of our time, you know that the book talks about a ‘secret’ that is not divulged in the book. However, it does become obvious while reading the book.

That secret is: ‘if you believe, you can achieve.’

Remember that little ol’ ant, who thought he could move that rubber tree plant…

2)   Decide: The next thing you need to do is make a decision that you are going to do it. So many people remain indecisive in their lives, and they never get anything done that they really want to be done.

They put off the decision-making process until the time is right and, often times, when the time is right, the opportunity is gone. Do you think this might be preplanned […]

7 Tips for Achieving Your Goals

The New Year is right around the corner. A lot of people are setting their goals for 2013. While goal setting is an important part of your business life, achieving those goals is much more important… Besides, you should be goal setting constantly throughout the year, not just at the beginning!

The reason you are constantly goal setting throughout the year is because you will be achieving your goals and setting new ones… Unlike those people who set their goals on January 1st and then by January 14th they are back in the same rut they were in, in December.

Here is how successful people achieve their goals…

Success: Dream Big, but with even Bigger Motivation

We all like to dream and some of us have big goals. In order to actually accomplish these goals you dream of, you have to do something. To do something you need motivation, and lot’s of it. First, identify a reason you need to achieve your goal. Then, make sure you have the true desire to achieve it.  Do not get bogged down by excuses and trouble; and whatever you do, do not allow yourself the opportunity to talk yourself out of achieving your goal. Instead, keep revisiting your reason and your desire to reach your goal. Reason and desire will help keep you on track.

Success: Set Daily Mini-Goals

Working toward big goals can become overwhelming. Try breaking down the goal into more manageable daily mini- goals. For example, if you are striving to lose 25 look at each day and what you can do to get yourself toward that goal. You can’t lose all 25 pounds in one day but you can lose plenty of ounces, thus […]

Learn To Think Like Einstein

I recently read a book called “Super Brain” which looks at the way our brains work and the fact that you can reprogram your brain to reach any level of success. One of the techniques covered in the book is Adaptability.

Most people think the great physicist Albert Einstein was born a genius. Yes, he was very creative, and yes, he was very intelligent but he used his brain in a way that every one of us can, to reach and surpass our goals.

It wasn’t that Einstein was born with just good genes. He used his brain in a way that anybody can learn. If you aren’t using your brain the way Einstein used his brain, then you are shutting yourself out from becoming not just successful but extremely successful.

The key is Adaptability.

Adaptability is necessary for survival. Of all living things, we humans have adapted to all the environments on the planet. Confronted with the harshest environments, the strangest cities, the worst diseases or the most fearsome natural crisis’s… we adapt.

We take this ability for granted until someone comes along, like an Einstein and takes it to a whole new level. Einstein adapted by facing the unknown and conquering it.

Although Einstein was a scientist, the unknown confronts everyone in everyday life. Life is full of unexpected challenges. To adapt, like Einstein, you need to three strengths and you need to avoid three obstacles.

The strengths you need to develop are: Letting Go, Being Flexible and Hanging Loose.

The obstacles you must avoid are: Habits, Conditioning, and Stuckness.

Einstein was able to able to ignore old habits of thoughts that surrounded him. He hung loose and let new solutions come to him through dreaming and intuition. He learned […]

What Is Success And What Do You Need To Become Successful?

Success is what everyone wants for themselves and they strive for it in their own way but do they really understand what it is? What really is the difference between being successful and unsuccessful? Success is basically a realization of your dreams, of your goals, of what you want in your lives. And once you realize what it is for you, you can easily strive for it.

Success is not always money. It is not always being a successful businessman but it can be helping others, it can be raising your children like you wanted by giving them good morals, good education and good values. It could be finding cure for one’s illness, or maybe conquering the highest peak of a mountain or finishing a Triathlon.

As Ben Sweetland said it so rightly:

“Success is a journey, not a destination.”

There are a number of factors important which may help a person to become successful. These are as follows:

1. Set the goals:

You must know first what you want and after that you make some plans how to get that. Setting goals helps you precisely how to achieve your set goal.

“The successful always has a number of projects planned, to which he looks forward.” -Mark Caine

2. Make the right choice:

You have to be thoughtful in making a choice. To analyze the pros and corns of the opportunity that comes your way. How are you benefited from it? What are the success and the failure rate? And if you think it is the right opportunity you should take the risk without missing your chance.

“The secret of success in life is for a man to be ready for his opportunity when it comes.” – Benjamin Disraeli

“Choice, not circumstances, determines […]

Could you use a little extra income?

The concept of having multiple income streams is not new. In fact, at one point or another most of us find ourselves searching for ‘extra cash’ to pay down debt or increase our investments. However, one mistake many people make is assuming that income streams only come in the form of J.O.B’s. Picking up extra hours at the Home Depot or at Duncan Donuts is something we could all do, but that’s not what I had in mind.

Much like cash flows from Multifamily Properties, income streams shouldn’t take up all of our time and make us crazy! When assessing multiple income streams, there are a few factors that should be considered.

Will you have fun? Generating additional sources of income can be a lot of work, so you might as well enjoy what you’re doing.

Keep it inexpensive! A lot of income generating opportunities requires massive investment both to get started and to maintain. Look for opportunities with a proven system in place. Implementation shouldn’t be rocket science and maintaining the business shouldn’t mean you constantly have to dip back into your pocket… That defeats the purpose of having an additional stream of income!

Don’t create another job, create another income! The ideal source of extra income will allow you to call the shots when it comes to your time. Particularly if you have a full time job, the last thing you want is being tied down to an additional set of commitments that make your life miserable.

Make sure it isn’t something that only works one time! The ideal extra income source will continue to generate cash even when you’re not working at it. The idea is to build something […]
